Reviews and Ratings <br />
The resort is set in a stunning rural location, surrounded by beautiful mountainous scenery and still boasting a good amount of snow even in April. While the hotel itself can feel a bit dated, especially the lounge areas and dining spaces, the onsen experience is a lovely introduction to Japanese culture. The staff were courteous, but communication was a barrier at times. Overall, a good value for those wanting to try the traditional onsen experience, though you’ll want to plan your dining expectations accordingly.
We had a wonderful time staying at Ryu during our honeymoon. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the onsen facilities were top-notch, providing a real Japanese experience. However, the isolation from the main town and limited transportation options could be challenging for some guests. Overall, it was a beautiful escape into the wilderness with excellent food and luxurious accommodations.
The onsen hotel offers a beautiful setting in a remote location, perfect for those who enjoy driving through nature. While the onsen experience is lovely and the views are stunning, I found the water temperature a bit disappointing, and the Wi-Fi could definitely use improvement. Overall, it provides a unique Japanese experience that's truly memorable.
I had a unique experience at this Japanese hotel, surrounded by beautiful mountainous scenery and a peaceful hot spring atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and traditional, and the dining was delightful, especially the traditional meals. However, the location is quite isolated without a vehicle, and the limited staff English made communication challenging here and there. Overall, it's an interesting stay if you embrace the local style.
The hotel is nestled in beautiful mountainous scenery, perfect for those wanting to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and hot spring experiences. The rooms are spacious and uniquely designed in Japanese style, but the dining experience left something to be desired as the breakfast timings were quite early for a vacation. The onsen facilities are basic, yet the overall ambiance is tranquil. The service was commendable, especially from the manager who was very accommodating. However, accessibility can be quite challenging without a car.
